Islamorada amberjack

The April Islamorada fishing report starts out great.

We were into the flag yellowtails again and did well with them. We are catching some good sized amberjacks.

We still are getting some blackfin tuna this week.  The dolphins have showed up which makes for great fishing

The dolphin fishing is picking up. It should get better as April goes on. We are catching a lot of feather tuna. They are small blackfins that are 3 or 4 lbs. We usually troll tuna feather lures for them.

On the reefs , we are catching quite a few barracudas and a lot of snappers.

It makes a great fishing day for the kids.
