The Islamorada offshore fishing report for February has been off to a good start. We have fished offshore and also have done some inshore reef fishing. Remember Islamorada is open for business and fishing is good. Come on down and join the fun.
We have fished some half day trips the last few days and found plenty of action on the reefs, King Mackerel have been plentiful and we got enough snappers for dinner. Remember Islamorada is the best place in the world to fish for king mackerel in February.
We also released some groupers which are out of season. We are heading out for sails and wahoo this week.
Had a family from Kansas City out today. The boys tore up the fish. We had king mackerel and plenty of snappers, even a dolphin. we tried some deep jigging but did not do well at that.
Had a group from the Carolinas. We had good action on the sails and picked up a few dolphins. the weather is great.
The king mackerel February fishing report has been great. All fishing has been consistently good on our recent trips , but the kings have really cooperated.
Yellowtail snapper fishing has been real good in the mornings but slower in the afternoon.
We have gotten some sailfish and Rhonda got her first one. The sailfishing could be better but the conditions haven’t been great.
80 degrees and sunny, why aren’t you here
Fished the Islamorada Bartenders open today, but had no luck with the sailfish. We did manage a few tuna and a couple of dolphin.
The weather the last few days has been great. The king mackerel are still around in force. We are doing well with them. Getting a few Amberjacks on the deep wrecks and there are some yellowtails around. We also released some nice red groupers.
Caught a few snappers and some kings this afternoon. Really rough so we were back early.
Karma rewards those who do good.Chris and Kelli Gee helped out with donations after IRMA. Had them out today and got some nice snappers including 1 very nice mutton snapper.
Got a morning trip in today. It was rough but the snapper fishing was good. The water around the reef was dirty, but that usually helpd the bottom fishing. We did a good job on the snappers, some nice Muttons and yellowtails.
