African Pompano

Month started out tough. We got out on the 1st and got a handful of snappers and a smoker king mackerel. We also caught some groupers that we had to release. The second was sunny and 80 degrees. We did well on the snappers and king mackerel. A large African Pompano topped off the day.

We spent the rest of the week not getting out at all. We got out on the 8th and had a big day on the snappers and king mackerel.

The snapper and king mackerel action has continued to be good through the middle of the month.

The second half of the month started with a good day on the snappers and a few blackfin tuna. The kings are still around and biting.

Had a bad stretch of winds that limited fishing. we got out for a few half days. The snappers are active and ready to eat. Kings are still around but they can be hit or miss

2-25  The reef is still active and the snapper fishing is great. There are still some kings around and they are fun on light tackle. A front is due through here tonight. Hoping it will pick up the sail fishing and maybe the cobia.
