Islamorada florida fishing report

November Islamorada Florida fishing report is off to a good start. Saltwater Sportsman considers Florida the #1 spot in the world to fish for swordfish, permit and snook in November. It is the #2 spot for king mackerel.

We started out fishing in 225′ of water and there were plenty of blackfin tuna and lots of bait. Then we moved inshore and found the king mackerel.

11-4 Had a bunch of boys out for Declan’s birthday. We got into barracudas and some snappers for dinner..

11-6

A great couple of days of fishing. We had some small blackin tuna and some scatter dolphin. The reef edge has been great for snappers and king mackerel

11-7

We had 2 families from New Mexico out for a fun day. The snappers and king mackerel  were biting. We also picked up a cobia

11-11.  Great action the last few days. Some big yellowtail snappers and some other snappers. A king mackerel or so nd a nice dolphin.

11-15  Reef fishing continues to be outstanding. Had a pit crew from Nascar out today and we did well. Big mutton snapper, plenty of smaller snappers and some king mackerel. A cold front is coming through. Hopefully that will stimulate the sail fishing.

11-17

The cold front has moved in. Fishing has been good We are seeing blackfin tuna, snappers, jacks and king mckerel. 11-19 Great action on the reefs the last 2 days

11-21. Reef fishing is still great. Had some kids out for a great day on the water. Conditions are good and weather is beautiful. My son John worked on the boat today.

11-30  A cold front came through and that will probably help. Reef fishing has been a little tough with the temperature change . King mackerel have been steady and there are a few sails around. We will be fishing the humps as the blackfin are there
