Islamorada fishing in December 2017

The December Islamorada fishing report shows some great fishing for snappers, king mackerel  and some sailfish We are open for business and Islamorada is open, Come on down and enjoy some great fishing.

The last couple of days have been good. The bottom fishing is great and some sails are around, plus some wahoo showed up on the moon.

Rough weather coming up, so we will checking out the patch reefs.

A group of friends from up north were on the boat today. They got a real workout. 

We got some nice king mackerel and some big amberjacks. Then we picked up 2 gaffer dolphin. 

To get them something really big, we bottom fished and caught and released a 200lb Goliath grouper.

hings have been great lately. Islamorada is open for business. We are fishing, the restaurants are open. Sailfish have arrived and the winter should be great fishing. Leave the ice and snow and come join us.

My son and friends  from New jersey were out today. The king mackerel action was super and we got some nice snappers for dinner.

We did some half day trips with groups from Ohio and New York. Plenty of warm weather and sunshine and plenty of fish. Steady king mackerel fishing and the snappers were cooperating

We chased some sails today and Melissa got one. Ryan and Chris caught fish for dinner.

Franky, JP, Chris ,Melissa, Ryan and Monica from OCMD wanter fish for dinner. We got a bunch of snappers along with grouper, amberjacks and king mackerel. Thanks for fishing with us this week.

We have had some half day charters with family groups. We kept the kids busy with yellowtail snappers and some cero mackerel. We even picked up a large king mackerel

 

I12-30.

Some half day trips with families on the reefs Lots of mutton snappers and yellowtails. The king mackerel were hitting the live baits. The kids had a ball.
