Florida Keys Charters
Florida Keys fishing brings out the adventure in all of us. The winter months are spent chasing the Sailfish around with live bait that you helped catch first thing in the morning. These fish average around 40 pounds and on 20lb spinning tackle you are in for a true battle. The amount of species that are here in the Florida Keys would keep anybody busy! Where else can you go and have the opportunity to catch well over 50 different types of fish, never mind the learning experience alone! Perhaps you’ll find yourself hooked into one of the many different types of Groupers or Snappers we find here along the reef edge or on one of our many wrecks. A variety of Mackerel begin to bite real good in our winter months also. One can produce bites on either live bait or at times we find ourselves jigging up big Amberjacks or Blackfin tunas on the Offshore Humps. Even the kite fishing is a very productive way to bring in the big bite deep sea fishing. In the spring we find ourselves trolling up the Dolphins and Wahoos that will lurk about in 200 to 1200 feet of water, all depending on where the Gulf Stream is on any given day. We need to find the proper current in order to be productive. The Swordfish become much more active both day and night as well as a few Blue and White Marlins. The deep dropping now becomes an option for us to in these deeper waters and the variety of different species you can see doing this is amazing! We will also get Tile Fish and about five different types of Snappers along with several types of Groupers.
