The weather is simply gorgeous in the keys right now and the fishing has been very good. We have the Koches in on vacation enjoying one of our “Package Deals”. They will be fishing with us for 3 days and if Day 2 and 3 are anything like day one, It will be an epic adventure.
Capt. Andrew pointed the “Pretty Work” out to the wrecks in 200ft of water. First stop inshore to secure our Live bait. Chum into the water, wait, wait Throw and repeat till we fill our wells with Cigar Minnows than its back on our way to the wrecks. Seems the the good kings have been in that 200ft range. Game on untill the charters arms are sore. We caught a few nice King Fish any many respectable ones for the Koches yesterday. We also found a few Blackfin tuna for them mixed in with the King Fish.
Second day of fishing will be for the reef snappers with yellowtail on the menu today, a few muttons have been showing up also. There are some big grouper around, with a few we just can’t stop, probably JewFish but who knows.
