The Islamorada fishing report for October should be a good one. The dolphin and blackfin tuna should be around. Florida and Islamorada in particular are rated #1 in the world  for snook, , swordfish and Atlantic sailfish  and second for king mackerel and bonefish by Saltwater Sportsman.

We started out the month with diesel tune-up and started good fishing on the 5th with a half day with Dylan. We got into the dolphin and blackfin on the humps. We had plenty of bait as the sardines and cigar minnows were plentiful.

10-6.  Had friends in town for a great weekend. Caught some tarpon behind the house and had a good day fishing. Kept some snappers, released some mutton snappers and a cobia.

Been fishing the reefs lately. Doing great on the snappers. Seeing a lot of mangrove snappers, mutton snappers, and yellowtails when anchored up. Also ran into some sails early in the week.

Hoping a cold front comes through and cools the water a little bit. It is still in the 80’s
