This winters weather pattern has been far from normal. It looks as if our spawn for some species is about to happen which is about a month earlier than normal. The water is was so Gin Clear yesterday we could see bottom in 90ft of water. Capt John had to check the sounder to make sure he hadn’t drifted in to shallower water.
Capt John Reports:
The Cobia bite has been consistently the best and most reliable bite with some nice size cobia mixed in with a few throwbacks. Kings have been hit and miss the day you hit you can run in to some slammers which are a blast on the light tackle. On the reef the yellowtails have been providing enough for dinner along with some decent muttons as well. The catch and release on the groupers has been stellar and may can not come soon enough. A few nice mahi have shown with some Black fin tuna as well.
