Not a whole lot to report this week from down here in the Keys. The weather got us most of the week….winds 25 and gusty…not much fun. However, we did fish later in the week, the water is still gin clear and very little current which as you have learned by now, is not good….
The fishing in Islamorada has been spotty at best. We have had some crazy conditions as of late. The water temps are still down and the clarity is horrible. We did catch a Sailfish this week in water that was so dirty I’m not sure how he found the bait!! Speaking of bait that too…
Fishing down in the Tortugas/Marquesas is nothing but outstanding with plenty of mutton snapper and plenty of groupers (released!). Grouper season opens shortly so we’ll know where to go for them!
