Capt John on “That’s Right” Reports:
Fishing in Islamorada has been pretty darn good as of late. Have to work at it but by the end of the day it seems to all come together. Starting to catch a few deep water Mutton Snappers 10 to 15lbs all on live Cigar Minnows. Finally the Smoker Kings have started to make a showing, last few days we have caught some real nice ones up to 40lbs and on light straight 20 spinning tackle its a blast!! The Sail fish have been hot and cold, bite real god one day and won’t do anything more then look at a bait the next. Over all its been a great start to 2013 and I’m sure it will keep getting better with all the warm weather we are having!!
